This inspiration for a historical study came to me when I was doing my research on the Atlantic War during the 1600s when the English and the French were in the midst of a colonial battle. I studied much of its history, culture, and politics about how the war had occurred and had taken its place in the trans-Atlantic at that time and I then wanted to recreate a scene where the warships are gathering for battle......as much as I had studied the hand craftsmanship of the warships. Therefore, I figured that it would be interesting if I could somehow make a scene of the ships reminiscent of its architecture and its battleground. That was when the idea of this artwork came to my mind.
