"The Hard Part" is a 36x36 inch mixed media painting that invites introspection through its layers of acrylic paint, charcoal, graphite, and chalk pastel. She explores finding the courage to accept the areas that need improvement. It’s giving permission to be free of opinion, protecting your own opinion, and standing powerfully in one’s self. The hard part, ironically, is arriving at acceptance. Eventually the hard part becomes easy, but unfortunately that’s not always easy.
