The Lion and The Lamb

“I think the question leads-in like a lamb, out like a lion? or in like a lion, out like a lamb?"

A few years ago someone was looking at my art at an artwalk and asked if I had a painting of a Lion; thats all it took… I started researching for the right picture to paint of a lion. Eventually I found one, but being king of the jungle, I needed a big piece of art to paint him on. So this large round panel seemed fitting. I also had been wanting to do the diamond shape design as a background-and gold seemed fitting in colour for the king of the jungle. I still wanted a bit of a lively mood to the picture which is where the setting of him being like a majesty in his cloak at his chair. And the lamb on his lap. There are many stories about the lamb and the lion. And I think the question leads-in like a lamb, out like a lion? or in like a lion, out like a lamb?
