The Living Soul of the Forest

Acrylic on canvas.

30x30"

An abstract, richly textural painting steeped in a deep forest-green palette, this work evokes the intimate sensation of standing within a lush Pacific Northwest rainforest. Layers of pigment and surface unfold like moss, bark, and shadow, drawing you into a close-up world beneath the canopy—where filtered light slips through leaves in soft, fleeting glimmers.

This is not a distant landscape, but an immersion. The forest surrounds you—breathing, shifting, alive. Subtle variations in tone and texture echo the quiet complexity of nature, inviting both stillness and wonder. It is a place where light lingers gently, and every surface holds a story.

These colours are not merely seen; they are experienced. They settle into you, resonating beyond the visual. Your inner world begins to mirror what you encounter here—thoughts tinted by feeling, feeling deepened by hue.

Open your senses. Step closer. This is not just a painting - it is a threshold. A portal into the living soul of the forest.
