There is a moment at the end of summer when everything seems almost too ripe. Flowers have bloomed past their peak, colours deepen and darken, and what was once bright and fresh begins to soften at the edges — like fruit left just long enough to become sweet, jammy and almost too much.

The Ripening captures that strange threshold between abundance and decay, when summer is giving its final burst of colour just as autumn begins to arrive. Everything is simultaneously fading and intensifying, one season dissolving into another. There is something beautiful in that excess: the reminder that transformation doesn't always begin when something disappears. Sometimes it begins at the very height of its fullness.
