The Room that knew Me

Oil paint on canvas.

76x72x1"

The Room That Knew Me gathers a quiet interior of potted plants, a worn acoustic guitar, and a small wooden stool, all bathed in cool blues and greens that spill in from the windows. Warm notes of orange and gold in the guitar and terracotta pots glow against the aqua walls, while trees outside blur into the room until inside and out feel like one space. The loose, tender brushwork gives the painting the intimacy of a place remembered, where every object seems to hold a trace of the person who lived among them.
