A vertical presence emerges from a field of suspended color, neither fully human nor fully abstract, as if the painting itself were breathing. The composition is built on pressure: dark mass anchors the left, while pale light on the right threatens to dissolve the form. Between these forces, the body holds — fractured, luminous, and tense.
The red core functions as a reservoir of life and memory, compressed rather than expressed, held under layers of blue and gray like something protected from exposure. Black lines do not describe; they interrupt, marking moments of resistance and refusal. The surface carries evidence of erasure and return, giving the work a sense of time lived rather than depicted.
