Acrylic on wood.
14x11x1"
Latest painting in the artist's "War Toys" series, the piece is another tongue and cheek absurdist take on cultural domination with a bombing of Tokyo on the opening day of Tokyo Disney in 1983. This piece follows the artist's desire to literalize concepts, slogans and sayings into absurd visual representations of those ideas. Sometimes times sarcastically, other times so literal that the idea becomes absurd. The second installment in my Dumbo Bomber series. More to come.
