My name is Sunitha Mathew and I work with acrylic medium. I am a self taught artist and my art is impressionistic. Step away and look at my art to enjoy it best. I have always been interested in art. Growing up I used to draw movie stars from magazines and also do a lot of landscapes with mountains, trees and a house by the river. While in University I started collecting old art books namely impressionists and Renoir became my favourite. I copied a lot of his work and then started practicing still life. I painted in oil whatever I found around the house, fruits, you name it. When I moved to North America I got started with acrylics and I love this medium. I paint flowers, landscapes and people and pets. I love painting. I enjoy visiting museums and appreciating the masters and also the art world today.
