The image Watersky was taken while kayaking on Stoney Lake (Ontario )in the very early morning. In WaterSky, iconic trees are perched precariously on the edge of granite rock. The textures of water in the sky and on the rocks offer a symphony of spirals and light. In this landscape photograph, image layering draws attention to the shifting conversations between and among water, sky and trees. Double exposure and photo manipulation helps to capture movement, often elusive in still photography. Linda Briskin is fascinated by the fluidity between the natural and the constructed, and the authentic and the fabricated.
