When Evening Comes was created as a tribute to my father’s love of sunsets and his habit of waiting until the very last trace of colored light faded from the sky. He would linger outdoors for the transition into evening, watching the purples and blues emerge before retreating inside. This ritual echoed my own affection for the deep blues, violets, and pink-red skies of Florida sunsets.
