My current favourite subject is chickens. I paint them in watercolour, often using white paint on black paper. This unexpected combination creates a striking and expressive effect. I work with a flat brush, which gives the chickens a highly stylized and spontaneous character — they are always unpredictable. The textured surface of the paper interacts with the watercolour in fascinating ways, adding depth and nuance to each piece.

For presentation, I chose a beautiful wooden frame with double matting and museum-quality glass, enhancing the work's clarity and elegance. This piece is bold yet minimal, expressive yet restrained.
