Born in the now-defunct Soviet Union , I began my artistic journey at an early age, attending art schools to hone my skills. Along the way, I also pursued Germanistics at the Linguistic University, ultimately earning my degree.
My worldview and artistic styles have been shaped by a lifetime of diverse experiences across Ukraine, Germany, Israel, and Canada. Today, I draw on these experiences to create unique and captivating works of art that challenge and inspire.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
As a self-taught artist, I have always had a deep passion for art and a fascination with color combinations. My works are devoted to themes of history, modernity, and the complex range of human emotions and moods that inspire me.
My desire is to take the viewer's imagination where it has never been before. To achieve this, I use a variety of abstract styles, techniques, heavy textures, and both canvas and wood panels.
Many of my paintings feature endless abstract labyrinths of lines, which take countless hours to create.
My viewers compare very often the intricate lines to lace. Personally, I see myself not as a drawer, but as a "knitter," weaving together lines to create my unique pieces.
I hope my art sparks the imagination and inspires to see the world in new ways.
