This piece is part of my “Coasts of North America” collection. I heard about an almost deserted island off the coast of Nova Scotia called Sable Island where there are more wild horses than people. And I was just inspired to paint it. This painting depicts a trio of wild horses roaming along the shore. I wanted to focus more on the horses and the play of light and shadows using a limited color palette. This would make a lovely addition to a living room or hallway with a coastal theme.
The sides of canvas are painted using the same color palette as the painting. The artwork is signed and dated on the back. It is varnished and will arrive ready to hang.
