Window to the Inside

Oil paint, oil stick on canvas.

60x68"

Window to the Inside turns an urban backyard into a vibrant, almost hallucinatory scene, with a gnarled tree trunk blazing in yellows, greens, and flashes of orange at its center. Fire escapes, a red-framed doorway, and slatted railings fracture into overlapping planes of teal and cobalt, while potted snake plants frame the edges like quiet witnesses. The thick, energetic brushwork makes the whole space feel alive and shifting, as if the viewer is looking through a window into memory as much as into a place.
