During the day, there is nothing particularly remarkable about this building. It is large, grey and utilitarian, the kind of architecture that easily disappears into the background of a city. But at night, it becomes something else entirely.

One by one, the windows begin to glow, each illuminated by a slightly different colour of light. What was anonymous during the day becomes a collection of individual worlds, each holding a life I know nothing about.

Window Watcher is about the unexpected beauty that appears when something ordinary transforms. It is also about the strange intimacy of living among other people: catching small glimpses of lives unfolding alongside our own, separated by walls and windows, close enough to see the light but never the whole story.
