Digitally painted original - Limited edition on archival paper (Framed and Matted).

13x16x2"

Limited edition 1 of 1.

There are only a very few places in the world where you can see mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of them. It's in Uganda, on the other side of the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda where Dian Fossey made them famous - and lost her life protecting them.

This painting was made after a 2 1/2 hour uphill trek, 2 hours down, and a good hot shower. Our group was lucky to spend an hour with a habituated family of gorillas - a silverback male, several adult females, and this 3 year old baby. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of this painting will go to mountain gorilla conservation.

An original digital painting, this print is carefully produced by me using quality inks on archival acid free watercolor paper, and simply framed matted in a contemporary, black or white frame.
