This photograph for me captures the idea that the body is always fluid and in motion.
Diana Pelenur is a Toronto-based photographer who was raised in Brazil and Uruguay. She immigrated to Canada to study at McGill University receiving an M.A. in Hispanic Literature and a Graduate Degree in Translation from the University of Ottawa. Diana also obtained a Certificate in Photography from Ryerson University and is pursuing a career in a life-long passion. Diana expresses her love of photography by being behind the lens as well as in front of the classroom. Diana’s portfolio is as diverse as her cultural and educational background, discovering the world through her lens.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My photographs express the different facets of myself and my curiosity of the world around me. I am especially drawn to the abstract and look to capture light, shapes and colour. My photography travels down many different paths, just like my life.
