ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My bold acrylic landscape works are based on a practice of walking, observing, plein air sketches and finally studio works. I use bold strokes and pallets knives to keep my work loose while portraying the energy of nature. They are my impressions of being in a place, capturing the feeling of being there. Where the water meets the shoreline is intriguing to me. I like messy landscapes, marshes and dead trees. My work is constantly expanding and evolving.
