ARTIST’S STATEMENT

As a steel sculptor with a genetic science background, I am interested in exploring the intersection of art and science. My work often deals with themes of evolution, mutation, and the natural world. I am fascinated by the way that biological processes can be seen as forms of art, and I believe that art can be a powerful tool for understanding the world around us.
I use steel as my medium because it is a strong and versatile material that can be manipulated in many ways. I often use traditional welding techniques to create my sculptures, but I also experiment with new and innovative methods. I am interested in pushing the boundaries of what is possible with steel sculpture, and I am always looking for new ways to express myself through my work.
Art can be a powerful tool for social change. My work often deals with issues of social justice and environmentalism. I believe that art can help people to see the world in a new way, and I hope that my work can inspire people to take action to make the world a better place. Art has the power to connect people and to create a sense of community. My work is intended to create a dialogue between the viewer and the sculpture, and to explore the ways in which we can all connect with the natural world.
