Found in the dancing energy of this incredible Muskoka lake, water spirits surely exist and love the lake as much as her human dwellers.

Photographed in the ICM style (Intentional Camera Movement), all the movement you see is created during the shooting process, captured in a single frame. By physically moving the camera as she shoots, and using technical understanding along with her knowledge of light, Karen 'crafts' movement, and that offers a unique, serene perspective of water, land and forest.
Karen Bell - Fine Art Photographer, Ottawa, Ontario
Karen creates Fine Art photography and has participated in many juried art shows and exhibitions, such as Toronto’s Artist Project, the Toronto One of A Kind show, Ottawa’s New Art Festival, Noir Art Festival and the Electric Street Gallery. She has held a solo exhibition at the Trinity Gallery in Ottawa and has had pieces exhibited with the Ottawa Art Gallery Annexe. She is also a Board member and juried artist with the Kanata Civic Art Gallery.
Based in Ottawa, but spending time in Toronto, Hamilton and summers in Muskoka, provides plenty of inspiring landscapes and waterscapes to nourish her creative appetite. The natural world draws and inspires her, and creating images provides connection: to the earth, to people, and experiences, past and present.
After graduating from Carleton University, Karen continued her education at Algonquin College graduating with Honours from the Photographic Arts program. After college, Karen worked at Valberg Imaging as a photographer and office/project manager. She now focuses her energy on her own fine art photographic works.
