In my painting, "Archangel Of Ruins," I delve into the complex interplay between hope and desperation, emphasizing the profound impact of human connection and the transcendental power of divine intervention. This artwork serves as a visual narrative that symbolizes the resilience of the human spirit, capturing a pivotal moment where a woman angel emerges to save a mass of people from the depths of despair.
At the heart of this piece lies the theme of hope—a flickering light that persists even in the face of overwhelming desperation. The composition is deliberately crafted to evoke a sense of urgency and vulnerability, with the people depicted in various states of distress, their faces etched with anguish and fatigue. Through the intricate interweaving of colors and textures, I aim to convey the magnitude of their struggles, and the seemingly insurmountable obstacles they face.

The sea is deep blue, slightly sluggish with the combination of salt and cold. The blue reads dark against the white if ice and snow dusted headlands.

Arctic Shake is an original oil finger painting completed in artist grade oil paints. The painting depicts a polar bear shaking off after emerging from a swim. Polar bears depend on swimming for their food but they also love to play in water, which I wanted to emphasize with this colorful piece that has multicolor splashes.

This painting is based on a Zoroastrian book named “Ardavirafnameh”. Ardavirafnameh is about “Ardaviraf” (gifted the holy wisdom); a virtuous man’s travel witnesses of the hereafter world; heaven, inferno, and limbo. This book is written in the Sassanid epoch when there was so much chaos in the Persian society after “Alexander” had attacked Iran. In the introduction, it is mentioned that the purpose of authoring this book is to make people back to their Zoroastrian beliefs.

This painting makes me think of dusk, when the lights start to come on, and you’re heading home across the fields. Bright points of aqua glow against darkening fields of blue and violet. Cold wax finish gives this a beautiful luster.
