A river or stream flowing down from the mountains and running through a forest in the Canadian Rockies (Kootenay National Park). This gripping image shows the aftermath of a forest fire, which is a natural and necessary part of the ecosystem. It clears thick growth so sunlight can reach the forest floor and encourage new vegetation. The striking contrast of a few charred trees in the foreground and a young forest in the background illustrates the natural cycle of tree growth and replenishment. This shot captures the raw beauty of nature and looks best in black and white.
I am a photographer that works primarily in black & white. From the streets to the peaks, that is where you can find me. A self-confessed old-school artist who is never in a hurry to share on social media. I prefer to spend more time to focus on my craft and commit to photography as a form of fine art.
