Oil on canvas.

20x24"

The oil painting on canvas portrays Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil. It has a very interesting creative composition,in the background we can observe the young Lula, his poor home in the interior of the Brazilian Northeast where he lived part of his childhood and the figure of Dona Lindu, President’s mother, an important inspiration and example of resilience in his life. Finally this canvas background moves away, bringing the portrait of the President to the foreground.

The artist, with great sensitivity, manages to portray a small section of the timeline of the boy Lula's suffering past, in a game of light and shadows, here a little monochromatic, transitioning naturally to the current moment, capturing the light of the Alvorada Palace, lively and colourful, in which it is possible to feel President Lula's joy and state of mind through his eyes, smile and relaxation with his dogs.
The composition and reading that can be done when looking at the canvas are also impressive, as it is clearly seen that the painting can bring to whoever sees it, the emotion of a happy and relaxed man, in an important moment where he confirms that he is a leader in the Latin American political environment.”
