ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Artist statement
In my artistic journey, I have found that the heart of my work lies in portraying the essence of humanity and the profound beauty of nature. My art serves as a medium through which I express my deep admiration for both, while also weaving captivating narratives that resonate with the viewer.
Alongside portraiture, my exploration of nature finds its place in my artistic repertoire. I am captivated by the symbiotic relationship between humanity and the environment, and I use landscapes as a visual narrative to highlight our interconnectedness.
Through my work, I hope to awaken a sense of wonder and introspection. I want viewers to immerse themselves in the stories and emotions that unfold on my canvas, experiencing a profound connection to the subjects and themes I portray.
In my creative process, I embrace the timeless medium of painting in oil which I found its vibrancy and also is quite forgiving.
Ultimately, my art is a celebration of the human spirit and our intricate connection to the natural world. My Working Women series is a tribute to the resilience and beauty of women and a testament to the transformative power of art in illuminating the stories that lie within us all.
