Gabriela Wilson
Gabriela Wilson is a Guelph-based interdisciplinary artist whose creative exploration bridges the aesthetics and techniques of glass and metal. Gabriela's artistic practice is grounded in a rich educational background encompassing jewellery/gemmology, glass, and sculpture from institutions such as the University of Guelph and Sheridan College.
Gabriela has been exploring techniques that combine welding and metal fabrication with glass hotshop techniques to create hot-formed closed silhouettes. The silhouettes give an illusion of weightlessness, appearing inflated and airy yet stitched by the strength of steel.
