Rock 1 belongs to my "Rocks" series of 6 mixed media paintings, with a theme of integrating nature and urbanization. It also combines East and West - integrating elements of traditional Chinese ink painting, photo images of modern buildings, acrylic painting, and digital media. This series intends to reflect harmonization, conflict, and mystery among human interaction with nature.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My artworks are inspired by the nature and what I see and feel every moment I look out the big windows while creating artwork. I use irregular colour fields and curved lines (curvilinear) to express my feeling and sensation, and play with the colours to capture the moments of transformation.
