John Carlos Furtado
I have been an art lover, my entire life but had little time to put any focus on it. Now, after a 45 year career in the IT field, I retired a few years ago, and now I am channeling my effort to creating art work.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
When I am painting, all my worries go away and with a little music, I am in my own world.
I mainly paint in Acrylic but have started to learn new techniques such as liquid oil. I have had a number of exhibitions and won some contests. I have been selling my art online through various third party vendors. But a lot of my selling has been by word of mouth.
I am a member in a number of artists associations, including international. In the association nearest to me (Beaconsfield Quebec Canada), I serve as the vice president.
