Kat Ignacio is a self-taught artist based in Brampton, Ontario and has been painting since 2018. Her vibrant, imaginative landscape paintings are created in her home studio. She unconventionally uses bold colours and textures to convey a sense of a dreamlike place sparked by her imagination. Her work offers a uniquely personal interpretation of the landscapes that surround us, challenging viewers to imagine the extraordinary.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
For the past several years, I've been painting for fun. Art has always been a personal passion of mine, one that I've explored without any official training or education. My colourful landscape paintings comes from my curiosity and openness to see the world in a different way. I think life is so much more and I dare to see the extraordinary - I encourage my viewers to do the same.
