I am Priya Malhotra, and art is my life. Growing up, I loved creating art in my spare time. However, I was never encouraged to continue exploring my artistic side. I worked in the travel industry for many years. I got married, moved away from home and welcomed our children. I became a full-time mom during the formative years of my children’s lives. As I got ready to enter the work force, I could no longer ignore my artistic leanings and saw this as an opportunity waiting to be explored. This is what led to the creation of Your Art City. At that time I did not have any expectations. As time went on, my art got more and more recognized and I evolved myself to what my brand is today. I then came to the realization that I want my art to represent me – as an artist! This was the genesis of Priya Malhotra Art.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I am a contemporary mixed media artist creating luxury art. I use resin along with a mix of luxurious texture points like crystals, semi precious stones, gems etc to create high end wall art and functional art pieces. I create a wide range of items like tables, trays, initial letters to cheese boards and coasters.
My brain constantly works on creative mode…..either creating art or thinking about the steps of the next project or how to present my art in a creative way! I am never bored (well, except if I am sitting in a math class). I lose track of time when I step in my studio. I wish to be able to do this for the rest of my life.

A one of kind geode diptych that you will cherish forever.
Details:
This beautiful piece is original art work on MDF wood in two pieces (Diptych). Each piece is 12x12, making total length as 24 inch and 12 inch high.
I custom cut the wood, sanded, primed and poured 4 layers of resin. The sides are painted in gold. In the middle of both the pieces is free floating agate slice shaped piece studded with crystal cluster and diamond dust I spent many hours over few days trying to get the look I was going for. It will give me a great pleasure to see one of you hang this beauty in your space and admire it.
