Hello artist friends!
Our helloart team is comprised of a multicultural group of various beliefs, identities, and backgrounds, and we care deeply about inclusivity in the art world.
With this in mind, helloart is now providing the option to self-identify cultural and/or ethnic background on your account. If you choose to participate, this allows us to promote your work and that of your community during events of recognition, but more importantly, gives us further tools to amplify voices from all backgrounds on our platform. We believe the art world should be accessible and inclusive to all, which is why we have begun this initiative.
We understand that not everyone will want to participate in this endeavour, and so will of course give the option to not participate by selecting “prefer not to say” when prompted for action upon your next login.
This is a topic which must be handled with the utmost care and sensitivity, and so we are eager for feedback from our community as we implement these new features. Please reach out with any questions or comments, and we will be more than happy to hear from you!
