Years ago during snorkelling in Mexico I had a unique chance of witnessing circling school of fish in the water. I was stunned by the captivating movement of hundreds of silver fishes, they were just going around and around and around in their amazing nirvana dance...I was watching them for what seemed like ages, hypnotized. They were one whole moving force, powerful and fragile, all as one following this invisible line, creating a perfection in their performance.

"NORTH WIND" is a reverse acrylic painting on acrylic (plexiglass) sheet.
With winter approaching, North Wind’s multiple blues against white shapes remind us of the cold, violent winds blowing across the Atlantic.
Paint is applied by palette knife to one side of the plexiglass and the painting is viewed through the other side, like a window - resulting in a luminous, flat effect almost like a silk screen.
Finished in a white frame and signed in the bottom right.
