Darrell Decaire
I was born in Toronto in 1960. I was always interested in drawing growing up and would sketch occasional when I wasn't playing sports. I started to take art serious when a friend told me to try a drawing course when I was 30. I manage to attend many night courses in drawing, painting, colour theory, etc over the years and began producing art works. I was in a few group shows and sold some work. I also donated some work to special causes for auction. Over the years I manage to create works in portraiture, landscape, still life in different mediums. Currently I am creating works in abstract concentrating on circles of colour. I hope to show more and add my work to people's collections for their enjoyment. Hope you enjoy my paintings. Darrell
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I like texture in the back ground of the main coloured circles.
This texture signifies struggle the world has in store for each of us. The circles represent. people, each one different and colourful navigating their way through the struggles of life. I try to make painting with lots of colour and texture with good composition.
