Imran Ghani
Imran is a contemporary artist specializing in large-scale sculptures made in wood and/or metal. He is a self-taught artist and an IT professional. He considers his experiences outside of art as a necessary input to his artistic experiments. He has exhibited his works in juried exhibitions in and around Toronto.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Given my background in engineering, my work is generally abstract expressionism within the constructs of spatial geometry. Being particularly fond of themes that depict strength and courage, many of my works portray a perspective of power, with poise and grace.
