Jennifer Delaney
An emerging artist currently residing and making art in Bethany, ON, Jennifer Delaney has been working in many mediums in art since early childhood. She now works primarily in oil paints, and some acrylics for landscapes and abstract pieces. Jennifer has an Advanced diploma in Graphic Design, which assisted her endeavors today in layout design, colour theory, and business for her new fine art goals, and has taken many courses and workshops to upgrade her painting techniques, as she made the change to fine art from graphic art a few years ago.
Jennifer’s inspiration for all her art started with her grandmother, her child, and now her many art friends, along with being inspired by all the beauty and colour of the world! She has travelled to many countries in the last few years, namely France, Italy, and Japan for plein air painting and is looking forward to travelling again soon!
Jennifer has sold many paintings since her move to fine arts, as well as won many awards. The most recent in 2023 were TWO Honourable Mentions in the ECOAA and AGB Juried art shows. Jennifer has also won Best in Show at the AGB for her piece “Lonely Wants To Stay Forever” in December 2022, along with two other honourable mentions with the ECOAA and OAA in the same year. She was a Juror and an award sponsor in the Youth Juried show in March 2024 at the Art Gallery of Bancroft!
Jennifer’s work is on display at A Place for the Arts Gallery in Bancroft this year, as well as for display at Blank Canvas Hair & Art Studio in Millbrook.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Jennifer Delaney is a quiet artist based in Kawartha Lakes and has waited many years to 'become'. She is finally working full time in art, emerging in the last few years, and being rewarded (awarded) for her effort and skill in juried shows and sales. Jennifer paints for herself first and holds nothing back!
There are two disciplines that pull Jennifer's art; one to impressionistic painting, and the other to abstract. She always paints a feeling. The main themes she is currently working on balance between interesting landscape items, and still life. She is primarily an oil and acrylic painter, who lends a little time to all art experimentation and vision creation.
A final favourite quote from Jennifer: "Talent is Time In".
