Kevin Genido
Kevin Genido (b.1993) was raised in the resilient streets of Winnipeg, a breeding ground for creativity. His first drawings started at three years old, using the carpets and walls in his parents room as a canvas. Naturally, he was selected for an after school program at the Winnipeg Art Gallery in the second grade and has been drawing ever since. With a background in footwear design, his latest artwork is often influenced by the worlds of anime, philosophy, and internet culture. Balancing a plethora of mediums, Nido blends an essence of the spiritual in his quest for what is real. Fascinated by nature, consciousness and the cosmos, he creates pieces that evoke nostalgic introspection and dream interpretation. His work has graced prestigious platforms like the New York Post, Paris Fashion Week, Miami Art Basel, and Fred Segal Seoul, captivating collectors around the globe.
