Blue Dragonfly Sea Flight
On a coastal hike near Pender Island, I watched a brilliant blue dragonfly lift from a clifftop stone and vanish over the open water, that moment became this painting. Built in cold wax and oil, layers of cerulean, cobalt, and deep indigo shift like wings meeting the sea. Gestural lines trace invisible flight paths and the movement of the wind.
