I love the symbolism of the lotus flower rising up from the muck and mire to the surface, to the light, where it opens it's many petals and reveals it's beauty and magnificence. It's a reminder for us to rise up out of difficult or dark times—whatever we might be suffering through—and to keep growing and rising so we can open fully to our true selves and offer our unique gifts to the world.
