Majestic Mini C continues my renewed exploration of winter forest scenes, a theme I first exhibited in 2016. There’s something timeless about the quiet architecture of trees in winter — their stillness, their endurance. The inclusion of gold leaf in this work introduces a playful counterpoint to that restraint, adding a touch of whimsy and light amid the subdued tones.

This piece is one of three created to offer variation within the same sensibility — each unique, yet connected by a shared rhythm of texture and reflection. After sixteen years of painting, what began as a retirement hobby has evolved into a sustained artistic pursuit, with my works now finding homes across North America, Europe, and Oceania. In that journey, I’ve come to see each painting as a small assertion of self — a moment of quiet presence translated through form, surface, and light.
