"Prickly Pear Cactus" is an original 10x10" acrylic painting on cradled wood panel. It features a still life prickly pear cactus (opuntia microdasys) houseplant in a terra cotta pot on a soft white background.

The painting is varnished with a semi-gloss UV protectant coating to resist fading over time. The edges of the cradled wood board are painted white to match the background of the painting so it can be hung/displayed without a frame if the buyer chooses.

I am an enthusiastic plant parent, and I love painting my favourites from among my own 90+ houseplants (each of whom are named; this cactus is named Thing 2).
