Spaces

Acrylic, graphite and ink on stretched canvas.

48x36x1.50"

Spaces explores the relationship between presence and absence, and the way open areas can carry as much meaning as visible marks. Layers of ink, acrylic, and graphite create a surface in which forms appear to emerge and then recede. The quieter passages allow the painting to breathe, while subtle interruptions suggest traces of memory, movement, and what may have been there before.
