This is the second painting in the Canadiana series inspired by my love of the Group of Seven. Each of the artists had their own way to celebrate the beauty and spirituality of the Canadian wilderness. When you are standing in a river with its waters moving, with northern rocks around its shores, and billowy clouds in the sky you are always filled with wonder and awe. What's clear is that the water is ever changing, the landscape constantly moving and shifting and the sky racing past. Nature is in motion. Every second is different and never the same. It's like a choreographed dance. Despite this constant motion, it's in a spiritual state of harmony. It's incredible and very beautiful. And in a moment of awareness, I realize that I am part of this dance. I'm spiritually connected and part of this place in this moment. And that's what makes it so beautiful.
