Wood burning and acrylic on spruce wood.

18x24x3"

This is an original pyrography piece, hand drawn and hand burned on an irregular slice of spruce wood.
"Adiyogi" means the first yogi. In the yogic culture, Shiva is known as the Adiyogi or the originator of yoga. This piece was inspired by the natural shape of the wood and the knots were incorporated strategically into the design to create a unique and stunning imagery that can quickly become the center of a conversation. Acrylic paints were used along with the different tones of brown by varying the temperature of the metal tip to burn the wood. A coat of polyurethane was applied to the seal the piece.

It roughly measures 2ft x 1.5ft and 3 inches thick.
