Big Rock, also known as Okotok by the Blackfoot peoples, is a huge 15 500 tonne boulder that was dragged out onto the prairie during the last Ice Age 30 000 years ago. The boulder itself came from the mountains near Jasper. This painting has significant sentimentality to the artist.
