“Close But Far” explores the space that can exist between two people, even when they share the same moment.

Seated side by side, two figures look outward toward the distant landscape. They are physically close, yet the space between them creates a subtle sense of separation. Their similar posture connects them, while their individuality remains intact.

The quiet palette, simplified forms, and distant horizon give the composition a reflective stillness. Rather than defining the relationship between the figures, the painting leaves room for the viewer to consider how closeness and distance can coexist.
