the inspiration for this piece in this series was based on my own suffering. I've had Crohn's disease since i was a kid. for the past 2 years before that it had gotten so bad where i actually couldn't even physically walk anymore and had lost so much weight that i became a shell of myself physically and mentally. in June i had a ileostomy surgery and vowed to myself that i would not waste anymore of my time when it came to plans and creating things for myself. i wanted to start creating series based around suffering and human cost as its something everyone deals with on a daily bases. my personal philosophies involve the thought that suffering is apart of the human experience for better or for worse. for example, going to the gym you suffer physically for the cost of getting better. during the middle near end of the war their was a lot of tension. no word from sons, fathers, mothers and all sorts of family and friends. the one word that came to my mind when exploring this topic was bereavement. Finding out family members had perished and putting many into the period of grief that we have all felt. a level of suffering you have to live with forever. Suffering that changes the course of your life in ways you may have not even known existed. all taken away from you at the cost of something you had no control over. hopeless. for what cost.
