This is the third painting in the Canadiana series inspired by my love of the Group of Seven. Each of the artists had their own way to celebrate the beauty and spirituality of the Canadian wilderness. If you crouch low and imagine you are a pebble in this river, two things happen. First, it gives you a deep sense of just how small you are in this place and in this time. And second, it changes your view of things. You look up into the landscape. You truly see the magnificence of the distant evergreens and mountains and hills. We understand who we are because we crouch down in the landscape and understand the significance of things.
