Half-breed depicts the dichotomy of being mixed in today's Indigenous Urban (Toronto) landscape. Having experienced lateral violence, this piece is a response to colonial rules that often dictate so much of our lives, reminding us that they only go skin deep. The side on the right is what our ancestors and what creator sees, and the more important side that really shows who we are and what we are made of.
