I’m Isabelle Hughes, the artist behind these paintings. I’m a self-taught artist, I enjoy painting seascapes. I like to keep it loose once in a while with abstract florals.
It all began as a hobby while recovering from a mild Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Painting was something I could focus on that brought me peace and calm in a time of healing. It later evolved into something more than just putting brush to paper, like launching a small creative business and building my website.
I started painting with watercolours and later discovered a passion for opaque mediums such as gouache. I’ve now found new loves for oils and acrylics.
My creative journey is ever evolving and I invite you to walk this path with me.
