Mostly Spirit (Appaloosa horses running) is part of a series of running horses, mostly Appaloosa horses, which were part of my childhood, a passion of my father's. I used aspen leaves as the distinctive Appaloosa spots. Aspens prefer to stand beside a running stream, celebrating their leaves in the breeze. The original artwork was a collage of various printmaking fragments and Oriental papers, layered with acrylic painting.
